The experience of the ShowMed team is wide-ranging. Many of our
employees have been employed with us for many years and our management
team have experience within the military, emergency services and
the security industry.
We place a great emphasis on staff training and development evidenced
by our commitment to obtaining the coveted Investors in People award.
All senior managers are qualified and actively involved in training.
To meet the needs of specialist situations we employ staff that
have career experience at a senior level within ambulance services.
Training is accredited & compulsory for all staff and is appropriately
administered to provide accurate records of staff training and work
experience.
ShowMed have developed an in-house training scheme for all first
aid staff. Many other event medical providers accept the first aid
at work qualification as a minimum standard. However, this is unacceptable
to provide a service in an events environment. Our training, delivered
by serving Paramedics, takes our team to a new competency level
and includes crowd behaviours, crowd related injuries, defibrillation,
medical gases and trauma injuries.
ShowMed is also the only event medical provider to host an on-line
staff booking system for its staff. Our team are able to book events
on the World Wide Web and the system also administrates our payroll
and invoicing. Staff can also view newsletters and protocol changes
thus we are able to keep the team ethos and communication pathways
open between events. What does this mean to you as a client –
a very well informed, motivated and keen workforce. It should be
remembered that first aid staff are uniformed and visible; members
of the public will approach them for customer service issues as
