Since 2000 ShowMed has been a major player in the provision in excellent healthcare at major music events. Working in partnership with SJM Productions ShowMed have provided medical infrastructures on greenfield sites for artists, recent performances include Oasis in Heaton Park 2009 catering for 75,000 people daily, The Arctic Monkeys in Finsbury Park in 2014 to 40,000 people and the Stone Roses in 2012 in Heaton Park for 75,000.
Lancashire County Cricket Club
ShowMed has been pleased to work with LCCC since 2001. Providing cover and consultancy for all sporting, concerts and other key events on site, ShowMed is now seen as an integral element in the safety processes at the ground. Lancashire County Cricket Club with the assistance of the management team at ShowMed became one of the first sports grounds nationwide to gain a deviation from the Green Guide and employ private medical contractors for every sporting and concert event without NHS Ambulance Service presence.
SSE Arena, London
ShowMed became the contracted medical provider for this 11500 capacity city venue in 2006. Since then they have provided staffing for in excess of 600 events with key performers such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, the MOBOs and the X-Factor Finals who all provided fans with multiple night concerts – an added challenge for medical providers.
The Royal Albert Hall, London
ShowMed have provided cover to this stunning 19th century concert hall situated in Central London since 2012. With its 5,500 capacity, this venue has a dynamic artiste profile catering for all tastes. This includes: The Festival of Remembrance, the BBC Proms, Cirque Du Soleil, comedians such as Kevin Hart and Russell Howard and shows for the Teenage Cancer Trust plus much more.
The Ricoh Arena, Coventry
Since March 2014, ShowMed have provided medical support and infrastructures to this large arena complex. This includes music concerts, corporate events and sports including to all Coventry City Football Club games and Wasps Rugby games as well as U21 and U18 fixtures since their respective returns to the ground. At a capacity of 32,000 this is truly a large fixture.
TV and Filming
ShowMed enjoy regular TV and Filming work from a variety of broadcasters, from the BBC, ITV and Nickelodeon. Since 2010 we have been providing our services to the crew and cast of shows including: Swashbuckle, In the Flesh, The House of Anubis, Dragons Den, Mastermind, Good Cop and Sam and Marks Big Friday Wind Up. We have also provided staff to a variety of commercials including DFS and Injurylawyers4U.
